The practice of Dr. Lenihan and Dr. Copes (previously owned by Dr. Clay Parks) has been taking care of the dental needs of Grant County and Northern Kentucky since 1963. Recently Dr. Lenihan and Dr. Copes celebrated 20 years of service to our office. Our dedication to our patients and their comfort set us apart from other dental offices. Our patients have total trust and confidence in our caring approach that specializes in dentistry for all ages.

Dr. Lenihan and Dr. Copes take pride in providing you and your family with the highest quality dentistry so you may enjoy a strong, healthy, beautiful smile for life. Our practice offers an exceptional range of general & cosmetic dentistry and our team is dedicated to help you with all your concerns regarding your oral health. Whatever your dental needs, Lenihan Dental is here to make you feel like you have something to smile about.
My staff and I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how much we appreciate your support and dedication to our practice the last 21 years (and for that matter with Dr. Parks’ time 57 years!!) We take your trust in our practice very seriously and our goal has always and will always be to treat you like family. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations. Of course, with the current Covid-19 pandemic we have enhanced our infection control and office air quality protocol. Our office is now equipped with True HEPA allergen remover and Germ and Particle Capturing Air purifiers and enhanced furnace filtering.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. In addition, all changes are in full compliance with the guidelines set out by the Kentucky Board of Dentistry and the CDC.
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
- Our waiting room is closed. We ask that you call the office when you arrive and we will meet you at the front door. Your temperature will be taken prior to your appointment by out office staff.
- Masks/fabric facial coverings are too be worn by patients as they enter and exit the office.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter and exit the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
- We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you.
Effective Wednesday April 29, 2020 we will begin seeing restorative/non-emergency patients in the office. On Friday May 1 hygiene preventative maintenance appointments will begin. We assume many patients have delayed treatment for a problem area the last 2 months due to the pandemic and stay at home orders. Please know we will do everything we can to see you in a timely manner and resolve your emergency issue.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. My staff and I have missed our patients and the daily successes we achieve with taking care of our patients.
